Vehicle registration plates – Management of the Federal State’s concessions: 2024 follow-up of the recommendations

general assembly on October 4, 2024

In its report to the Federal Parliament, the Belgian Court of Audit took stock of the implementation of the seventeen recommendations from its April 2022 audit. More than two years after its initial audit was published, the Court concluded that, out of the seventeen recommendations made, none have been met, four are being implemented, five have not been followed and eight could not be assessed. The Court found that no significant progress has been made regarding the follow-up of the recommendations. Moreover, it made a new recommendation after the Vehicle Registration Service (DIV) refused to provide certain documents during the follow-up audit.
