Federal Support Measures for Businesses and Individuals during Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Follow-up of the recommendations

general assembly on January 22, 2025

In its report to the Federal Parliament, the Belgian Court of Audit took stock of the implementation of the nineteen recommendations from its November 2021 audit. At that time, it had examined the support measures taken by the Federal State during the COVID-19 crisis, how the regulatory framework and the verification of the correct allocation of support were organised, and how the measures were monitored and evaluated. The follow-up audit revealed that of the nineteen recommendations, two have been met, nine are being implemented and six have not been followed. For two recommendations, the Court had too little information to give an opinion.
