In its 2025 Book on social security recently sent to the Chamber of Representatives, the Belgian Court of Audit examined the financial and budgetary situation of the social security in 2024 and reported on the audits of the accounts of Public Social Security Institutions (PSSI). In 2024, social security revenue amounted to 139,794.8 million euros (i.e. 5.78% more than in 2023) and expenditure to 139,257.4 million euros (+6.44%). These audits and their results are part of the preparation of the certification of the PSSIs accounts by the Court.
